I've been sewing for Makie dolls again. Having accumulated some nice fabrics for my birthday, this is what I have come up with...

Four dresses!

A fifth dress (cherries) since I ran out of models...

White / tiny blue flowers high-waisted dress:

Yellow/white dots dress

Red/white dots dress

All are hand-sewn, with a lined bodice.

The small print works really well on these dresses.

Curses, you've got me looking at Makie dolls now. Must resist....

They've temporarily removed ability to design/buy a boy doll while they re-design them.
Also be aware only the heads are 3D printed now (rest is normal plastic) - but cheaper than they used to be.
A fun way of combining several sorts of geeky interest in one item!

What's frustrating is that I don't seem to be able to go back and make changes after I've put a doll in my shopping basket.

Though I'm not really sure I can afford to buy one (but the price is reasonable for what you get).

I can't see all the options either. eg. You have a doll with white skin, but I don't see that. I can't see any choices on eyebrow colour either.

And very few options on hair colour - grey doesn't seem to be there.

OK, a couple of things to recommend (as they changed the UI a fair bit and not as intuitive as it used to be)
Looks like the main page is down for maintenance at the moment so bear with me as I'm trying to remember how it works
* Before you start designing anything on http://mymakie.com/, it's best to create an account to save things you have designed (this is just designs, not payment details, address, etc). I *think* if you follow the link at the end of the page to the now-closed collectors' forum you should be able to create and account and login
* Then if you create something, as soon as you get to the "check out" stage you can instead just go to the My Account section where it will have been automatically saved and you can re-name and make all the further changes you like
* In the designer you can indeed change eyebrows and all sorts of other stuff but you need to toggle on more options first

Nope, no grey hair colour. But if you buy a spare, removable top head section (strange, but true!) you can hunt down any suitable wig online to fit a 6-7" head size.

White skin got discontinued at the point they stopped making them fully 3d printed (a shame as you could overdye them yourself!)

Update for [livejournal.com profile] watervole as mymakie.com is working again now.
Just scroll right to the end of the main page and there are links to Sign In or Create Account. Providing you are signed in, any design that gets as far as the basket gets saved and can be amended.

Thanks [livejournal.com profile] aperrott for donation of his family "weaselboard" which has helped immensely with final finishing on these..
