For spinning wool preparation, I decided to get one of those drum carder things - expensive, but good results so far.
The device, in all its spikey glory
Partially-prepared fibre
First wool batt made using the drum carder (Southdown stuff, from the stuff from Burpham Court Farm)
Fluffy closeup!
Makes me think of food! Sushi or sweets, or something.
Right - next plan is to make a fibre preparation in Jaffa Cake colours, for a laugh!
