Boots - do I need 'em?

One of my favourite clothes websites has a sale on, including these rather nice costumey boots
I already have similar but much lower heel.

Can 3" heel boots be comfortably used to walk around in and generally used, in people's opinion?
(Would be a shame if they only got used very occasionally as part of a costume, due to being more a footwear to sit down in and show off... ;P)
