London Film and Comic Con

I'd heard such events were just media stuff, queuing etc. but it was rather good :) :)
Even the autograph queuing was very well managed and organised. Apart from Nathan Fillion's. Largely due to him skiving off I fear..
Pics here. Only found out about it due to London Propstore, who I bought a dress off, emailing on Friday. And they were there... with LOADS of original Serenity film props, outfits and things. And if you though the website was dangerous, I did have problems walking past their stall.....
For £5 admission including free guest talks in a lovely big airconditioned Earl's COurt 2 on a hot day, with reasonable refreshment areas, it was most fun indeed.
The best bit was - Firefly guests :) Only went on Sunday so missed Nathan Fillion's talk. Went to Alan Tudyk's talk and Nathan turned up too as a random and very funny double act. (As far as we could tell, to skive off autograph duty. Noticeable that the posters by their autograph tables were BOTH defaced - Nathan with a black marker moustache and Alan with crosses through his eyes. Daft lot).
Talk was good, if short. Very profound question of "If they make more Firefly, will Mal marry Zoe?" from a 9 or 10 year old girl in a very Dr Who "girl in the fireplace" style dress. This caused amusing consternation and dodgy comments about Inara (who knows what the small kid made of it - though she wasn't prompted to ask the question, got the idea she'd watched the stuff herself).
More wierdness when several question-askers were welcomed BY NAME by the guests as they'd met them before.
Loads of other guests about - Carrie Fisher, David Prowse,Kenny Baker, Elijah Wood, a couple of people from Lost....
Added to which, lots of very nice trade stands, purchased t-shirts, fluffy Totoro keychains AND... found a girly toy stall selling old MLPs! And I found one at the bottom of a box that I needed to complete a rare set (Baby Suzie from the Best Friends set, UK only, mid 90s).
