Finally! Another pony custom
Dec. 23rd, 2005 04:41 pmThis one has taken *months* and is the reason I've not posted many pics of completed projects recently.
Meet Sai!
See further pictures of the under-layers of his garments:
Sai is from the manga (books) and anime (animated) series, "Hikaru no Go" which is about a small boy being taught the ancient game of Go by a ghost called Sai.
Sai the pony has several white undergarment layers, over which he wears a 2-tone silk dupion short kimono-like garment, shiny 2-tone silk baggy trousers, and he has little black velvet slippers.
On top if this he wears a Habotai silk over-robe, with slashed sleeves to show the colour underneath. He has a traditional black tall hat.
His symbol is (hopefully, if I got it right!) the Japanese character for "Go".
All I can say is - pony-shaped kimonos are a darned funny shape. And silk is a right pain to work with....
