Die Hard 4.0
Jul. 10th, 2007 08:57 amWatched latest "Die Hard" film yesterday!
Not only was it very good, but the trailers were also faintly amusing - watch out for the ad for "Waitress" as you get a few mins of Nathan Fillion. The film in question looked quite funny and the clips shown were nicely scripted. Must watch that...
Highly recommended, didn't suffer from the usual problem if Being A Sequel, as it was nicely scripted, fast-paced and enjoyable.
As usual for these films, one of the best qualities was it in no way took itself seriously - standard set of ridiculous escapes, big explosions, implausible software user interfaces.... though there were several geek characters (one of whom was quite a surprise to see in an action movie!) and as a result several sets were "geek lairs" full of very nice looking tech toys, collectible figures, odd nods to Star Wars and such. Made a couple of the characters seem far more "normal" amid the rest of the silliness.
Oh and you get an evil fighty woman!
