Odd observations for the day...

1) A guy in the ticket queue at Woking station wearing blue Homer Simpson slippers. Did he realise, I wonder? Was it deliberate?

2) A Segway parked outside a coffee shop in Surbiton. People *use* them? How bizarre...

3) A small cheap-sewing-set-style needle threader on the pavement near home. That's just odd.

(1) I pity the poor fellow when he gets to work and wonders why everyone's giving him funny looks...

(2) Apparently they do. I saw some security guards on segways the other day, which was pretty comical... probably works well on flat pavements, but the temptation to cheek them and then run down the tube escalator was enormous.
